Experience at Virigina College - Is it Marshall or Anne Elise??

So.. my cousin who is also pregnant 6 weeks ahead of me, told me that at Virginia College you can get free ultrasounds. So I decided to go check this out even though I was a little unsure about the whole thing. Chris and I went today at 11:30 and after a short wait, we got to see Baby Liston for the 2nd time. The first time was at 7 weeks and Baby Liston was just a peanut, this time however we could see so much more. Turns out Baby Liston is a thumb sucker. We got a profile picture of Baby Liston sucking it's thumb which is kind of weird b/c neither Chris nor I sucked our thumbs. We will post pics soon. We weren't able to find out the sex yet b/c someone decided to cross their legs during the whole ultrasound. But so far we have two guesses at girl but all the old wive's tales predict boy. So who knows?
Today was super exciting to see the baby moving and it just made the pregnancy seem more real. It's just such a miracle to have this little baby growing inside of me. We go back to Virigina College on Dec. 4th so hopefully by then we should know the sex for sure!

Welcome

After many months of reading my friends' "baby blogs", I've decided to create one of my own for our Baby Liston. I know I've enjoyed keeping up with my friends and their families this way and hopefully others will enjoy keeping up us and Baby Liston too.

I'm 14 weeks and 1 day into my pregnancy. When I first found out I was pregnant I didn't believe the test. It was early on a Saturday morning and I got up to use the restroom, something told me to take a pregnancy test. So I did, and it came back positive. I was in shock, I was super surprised and happy but in shock. I immediately went to get Chris up and asked him to come in the bathroom to look at something. He immediately thought the toilet was leaking or the shower was messed up because we were in the process of renovating our master bath. When he came in the bathroom I told him to tell me if he thought the test said positive. He agreed!! We were so excited!! He then told me to take another one. Well one week and 9 positive test later we were pretty sure I was pregnant. On my first visit to my OBGYN they told me I had set a new office record for how many pregnancy test I took! :)

When I was 5 weeks and 2 day we had our first dr. appt. with Dr. Ingram at Henderson & Walton in Saint Vincent's. Everything went well. Two weeks later we went back for our first ultra-sound to see Baby Liston for the first time. I will post pics soon. All we could see was a little dot with a heartbeat, but it was amazing to see baby liston doing good.

Last week, on Oct. 28th we got to hear baby liston's heartbeat for the first time. It was amazing and so reassuring to hear! The heartbeat was a whopping 160 bpm!! We have a recording of the heartbeat that will hopefully be able to post soon as well.

We get to find out the sex in 6 weeks, it seems so far away! I know that time will fly though, I mean the past 9 weeks have whizzed by.
